Fantastic day out This has to be the best boat trip out of Torquay (also available from Brixham, Paignton and Teignmouth).

I did the... read more...This has to be the best boat trip out of Torquay (also available from Brixham, Paignton and Teignmouth).

I did the "round robin" from Torquay to Teignmouth, out by ferry and return by rail. The first advantage is that you get to spend as as much time as you want in Teignmouth, as you can return by any (GWR) train, rather than being tied to the return ferry. The second advantage is that rather than take you the most direct, and fastest route, they hug the coast line and islands, so it's a nature cruise as well.

The staff on board were constantly scanning for wildlife, and when they saw something interesting, they went in as close as possible. Obviously the rock formations they know well, but they also identified wildlife and pointed out anything unusual.

I'll definitely do the same trip again next time I'm in the area read less..

John and his crew could not have been more helpful. I was on crutches and they helped me on board, made sure we were both ok and comfortable, and nothing was too much trouble!! And they made sure I got off the boat ok, and helped me get off, and they were the same when we came back with them!! Thank you very much, we will certainly be back. Fantastic day and John was very informative, and he gave a brilliant insight to Brigham and surrounding areas!! read less..
