Our Colourful, Traditional Boats….

 

Look out for our bright Orange, Red and Yellow boats sailing daily across the bay. Our traditional boats are stooped in history, and are the most pleasurable way to explore our beautiful area (in our opinion!). Both ferries have bars and toilets on board and are run by a happy, fun, helpful and informative crew.

These can be booked online, by telephone or at one of our brightly coloured ticket offices and booking sites. You’ll find our kiosks in Torquay & Brixham.

We don’t have ticket offices in Paignton or Teignmouth, but we’re on the end of the phone if you’d like more info or to make a booking. Its free to call from mobiles or landlines on 0800 086 9450.

“Torbay Clipper” – Built in 1972 in Guernsey, previously known as “Herm Clipper” this vessel used to run ferries beetween the Channel Isles. She has been operating as a local ferry in Torbay for nearly 15 years, and is our largest craft, seating 100 passengers.

She’s also a convertable – in the summer months you’ll find her side covers rolled up and the roof canvas rolled forwards, so you can enjoy the fresh air and sound of the sea.

The historic – “Brixham Belle” – Our heritage boat. Built in 1923 in Plymouth, previously named as “Lady Elizabeth” we’re proud to have her in our fleet.

Seating 78 passengers in total, she has large outside seating areas on the bow and stern, retractable side covers in the main cabin and a top deck.

She’s turned a few heads recently with her bright new livery!

Safety First

All of our vessels are licensed by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency after stringent annual hull surveys and safety checks. Our Skippers are fully qualified and medical checked and crew adhere to a strict, ongoing training schedule and are spot checked by management regularly. We have an exemplary safety history, and our vessels carry all of the necessary life saving equipment.

“Funfish 1” – our Mackerel fishing boat – Brixham Based. Previously known as “Calypso” and built in 1962, she originally ran the ferry service for many years around the Scilly Isles. The perfect platform for some family fishing fun.

We supply all the equipment you need so you just need to make sure you bring… yourself. Toilet on board – Whew!

Voted the best Mackerel Fishing provider for 2018 in the local area, we will show you the ropes. First time fishers are welcome, and it’s a perfect trip for all the family. You can keep your catch, or throw it back – it’s your choice.
